Quick Summary
Toggle“From Love at First Sight to a Bit of a Butt Letdown — My Top-CY Doll Journey”
Hi everyone!
I’m finally getting around to sharing the first impressions of one new Top-CY doll— Like many first-time doll owners, I’ve been totally immersed in discovering all the little details and nuances, so it took a bit to gather some thoughts. But now I’m excited to give you a proper, balanced review of what it’s like living with this beautiful creation.
Quick Specs
- Model:Top-CY 157cm S-TPE Body
- Heads:Polly (ROS) & Elva (ROS), both with implanted hair
- Material:S-TPE (Soft Thermoplastic Elastomer)
Delivery & Unboxing
To start with—kudos to Top-CY! The doll arrived much earlier than expected (about two weeks early), and the packaging was excellent. Everything was snug, secure, and professionally protected. No box damage at all, thanks to UPS.
Both heads were neatly packed with plastic face shields and hairnets, keeping everything clean and in place. The body was securely wrapped—especially the feet, which took some time to carefully unwrap.
Here is the doll in packaging.

First Visual Impressions
Wow. Just wow.
The factory photos don’t do these heads justice. In person, both Polly and Elva look even better—more lifelike, expressive, and detailed. The realism is honestly breathtaking. For me, Polly stole the spotlight immediately. Her face has an inviting softness that feels incredibly natural in different lighting and setups.

First Poses
Even before fully understanding the skeleton mechanics, I had fun trying out some basic poses. There’s something magical about walking into a room and seeing her posed—it creates a lovely illusion, almost like being greeted by a real person.

First Thoughts on the ROS Heads
The oral functionality is decent but not perfect.
The mouths don’t open widely or stay open easily, and the lips and interior feel quite firm. I’m unsure if the mouths are hinged, but they don’t seem to hold positions like some other ROS heads I’ve seen in videos. This might be due to the implanted hair and structural rigidity required to maintain such realism.
Still, the oral experience is quite good—tight and with decent suction. Just don’t expect a super soft or highly flexible mouth feel.
Shedding from the implanted hair started early, but I’ve been gentle, keeping the hair tied back and avoiding any pulling. The realism is worth it!
Skeleton & Articulation
Top-CY uses what they call a “gear skeleton”, designed for smooth and flexible posing. Here’s my take:
- Arms, shoulders, and knees: Easy to adjust
- Fingers and hands: Poseable and soft
- Feet and hips: Quite stiff; feet feel almost locked at times, and the hip joint takes real effort to move
- Toes: Loose and not poseable
It takes some practice to pose her, and some joints require more force than others. But once she’s in position, the visual payoff is totally worth it.
Body Aesthetics
Top to bottom, the body is well-proportioned—especially the torso and waist, which taper naturally. The chest and hips look balanced, and the overall figure is quite realistic.
There are two noticeable drawbacks:
- Legsare slightly thin for the torso.
- Arms and handsare unnaturally slim—especially the hands, which are a bit too small in proportion.
With clothes on, these become less noticeable, and she still photographs beautifully.
General Feel
As someone without another doll to compare with, I still did a lot of research before choosing S-TPE. It’s supposed to offer a softer experience than silicone, while maintaining some durability.
Here’s my feel breakdown:
- Arms, legs, breasts: Soft and pleasant
- Feet: A bit too soft—press gently and you’ll feel the skeleton
- Torso: Slightly stiff but still comfortable
- Butt: This is where things fall short (more below)
Breast Impressions
Visually, the breasts are stunning—great shape, size, and natural placement. I opted for gel-filled breasts, and they feel fantastic. They jiggle nicely with minimal movement, and the squeeze is soft and realistic. Easily one of the doll’s strongest features!
The Butt – Looks vs. Feel
Let’s start with the appearance: In clothes, the butt looks nicely shaped and proportioned. But naked, the illusion fades a bit. The cheeks lack natural separation and definition, and the “crack” is shallow—making the whole area look less realistic.
Now the feel: This was my biggest disappointment. The cheeks are very stiff. I expected a softer, jiggly texture based on the S-TPE material, but the reality was closer to silicone—firm and unyielding. There’s almost no movement when pressed, and the lack of softness really impacts the tactile experience.
Lesson learned: I should’ve asked for butt softness videos before buying. Don’t assume all S-TPE dolls will have the same level of softness!
Final Thoughts
This doll is a bit of a mixed bag—visually, she’s stunning. Especially the Polly head, which I now use exclusively. The Elva head is nice, but I always find myself coming back to Polly.
The body, while attractive at first glance, has functional and tactile limitations—particularly when it comes to the butt and hip joints.
If I were purely into photography, I’d be thrilled. Top-CY’s heads are perfect for photo and video work, especially with new AI video tools. But if you’re buying for touch and realism, there are trade-offs.
What I Loved
- Beautiful, hyper-realistic ROS heads (especially Polly)
- Excellent packaging and shipping
- Fantastic breast feel and aesthetics
- Realistic torso and upper-body proportions
What Could Be Better
- Butt is far too stiff and lacks shape detail
- Hands and arms are too slim
- Hip joint is hard to adjust
- Oral functionality is limited
